Salesforce Integration

The Salesforce integration is a two-way integration where ThankView engagement data is pushed into Salesforce and Salesforce lists can be pulled into ThankView. The Donor ID is used to look up the contact in Salesforce. If the Donor ID does not exist for your contact, we attempt to match it using the contact's email.

Video Tutorial: Setting up the Salesforce Integration

Setting up the Salesforce Integration

  1. Log into your ThankView portal > Integrations.

  2. Navigate to the Salesforce box and click Connect+.
  3. Log into your Salesforce account and click Allow to connect the systems.
    1. The Salesforce integration user account you use to connect to ThankView should have read permissions for the Contact and Lead objects and the “email” field on the Contact and Lead objects. They should also have create, read, and edit access to the ThankView object. The integration user should also have appropriate sharing rules created as necessary to ensure appropriate record access.
    2. An article on Salesforce integration user best practices, for reference: https://admin.salesforce.com/blog/2023/best-practices-for-configuring-your-integration-user.
  4. Once successful, you will see the status as Connected for the Salesforce integration.

Pulling Salesforce Lists into ThankView

  1. On the Integrations page, toggle on the ability to Import Contact Lists from Salesforce.
  2. Once turned on, you will now see an option to import Salesforce lists within a campaign, a list, or on your contacts page.
  3. Once you select a list, you'll then be asked to match up the Salesforce fields with the merge fields in ThankView before your data is imported.
