When recording videos, sometimes you want to get creative! And sometimes you just don't want the drab background of your office or WFH setup to be the star of your communications. We've got the fix for you! Now you can blur your webcam background or add a virtual background so the focus can be on you and your message.

Blurring Your Video Background

Log in, navigate to the 1:1 Page, use the + button to create a new video. Select Enable Webcam and you'll land on your recording screen. In the top right corner of your video, you'll see a Magic Wand icon. Click on this and select Blur My Background from the dropdown. 

Once selected, you'll see your background has been obscured. You now have a new, Multi-Gear icon added to the lineup. Click this to adjust the resolution of the background's blur.

Adding a Virtual Background

If you wish to upload your own image, you can use the Magic Wand again, this time selecting Choose Virtual Background from the dropdown. Here you'll be prompted to upload an image from your desktop in .jpg or .png format. Use the Multi-Gear to adjust your resolution. Keep in mind, the image will be mirrored.

Clearing Your Background

If you decide a virtual background isn't for you, revisit the Magic Wand again and click Clear Background to revert your video to its original settings.
